Parents/ legal guardians and children have to be able to have easy access into London OR Manchester for castings and assignments at very short notice. Plus, travel is normally not covered by us or the clients so you have to think of cost.

Yes, there is a one-time administrative fee of £60 when you first sign up with My Kids. This fee covers the initial setup of your child's profile, processing of documents, and access to our mobile and web app.

No, we do not so please do not go to the office. The only way is to apply through the My Kids Agency website and we will always respond to you within 10 working days after your application has been received.

Yes we do, we view all children’s applications the same way and do not have a separate section for children with disabilities as they are all My Kids! We will ask for as much information as possible with regards to the child’s health just so we can make sure they are able to attend castings, assignments and have permission to be out of school if applicable in order to get a Child Entertainment License. It is also vital to make sure that the clients have all the correct information to make sure the child’s health and safety is the first priority.

You will be contacted by one of the team via phone within 10 working days of receiving the confirmation email from the agency once your child has been accepted. We will then have a chat about what happens next and make sure you are happy to join with us and be in a contract for a year. We will also let you know what we would need from you to finish off the child’s profile and discuss any paperwork we need.

Once we have spoken to you over the phone you will then receive an email with the documents we require. This will be the contract and any paperwork we need to apply for a Child Entertainment License.

You can either post this back to us (correct address will be given on email) or scan it back to us via email which ever one is easier for you!

No, you as the parent/ legal guardian do not need to apply for the license. The license is only needed if the child has been booked for a shoot or assignment. The client or agency will apply for the license through the child’s local authority. My Kids Agency will let you know at the time if any other documents are required i.e. a school letter if applicable.

All our children’s profiles are password protected for the safety of their wellbeing. The My Kids Agency Team and only clients we have allowed to have a login are able to view all the children’s profiles. Parents/ legal guardians are only given access to view their own child’s profiles and cannot see other children.

You must alert the agency immediately. If out of office hours and you have been sent the clients contact number also let them know with as much notice as possible. If you have cancelled or have not been able to attend a casting or assignment on more than 5 occasions for reasons other than health or unforeseen circumstances then My Kids Agency may terminate the child’s contract with immediate effect.

For a casting it’s up to you who you allow to take your child, as they will be auditioning it needs to always be someone they feel comfortable and at ease with.

For job’s it has to ALWAYS be a parent, legal guardian or registered chaperone that takes the child. There is no exception to this as the child will be licensed with the chaperone’s name on the license and at the shoot there could be a check on this and if the correct person is not on the license this could result in the shoot being closed down.

As your child’s contract nears its end, the My Kids Agency team will review the work and interest your child has received from our clients throughout the year. If we believe your child has potential for more opportunities, we will invite you to renew the contract for another year. If we feel that your child might benefit more from a different agency, we will inform you. Our goal is always to ensure the best opportunities for every child.

The platform fees are £30 per year for South models and £15 per year for North models. For additional siblings, there is an extra charge of £5 per child per year. These fees cover the hosting of your child’s profile and continued access to our app. If you are in the South you have access to agency updates in the studio.

My Kids Agency earns commission. We only take a fee if the child gets a booking. We will take 25% from the child’s earnings. We will not take anything from any travel expenses.

No, My Kids Agency is a Sole Agency therefore we would not sign up any child that is already with another agency. This is because it is highly recommended to not be signed up to more than one agency at a time as clients can find it very confusing when being presented the same child by multiple agencies. Although we are happy for our teens 12+ to have an acting agent to work along side us.

No it’s not compulsory for your child to be on Spotlight when joining us. Although we highly recommend them being signed up to Spotlight especially if interested in TV, film and theatre. This is a hard question to answer as each booking will vary depending on the work the child is requested to do and the usage of the images. For example, a TV Commercial will normally pay Basic Studio Fee to the child and then a usage fee if the child is featured in the final edit. A photographic shoot will normally be paid by the hour (2 hours minimum) or a day rate. At the time of confirming your child for a shoot the agency will give you all the information on rates.

After any paid assignment or casting the agency will invoice the client. Depending on the payment agreement with that client, payments are normally made in 30-120 days. Children are not paid until the payment has been received to My Kids Agency from the client. My Kids Agency can only make payment to the child directly online into the child’s bank account. All children MUST have a bank account in their name in order to receive payments. Once the payment has been made you will then receive a remittance.

You can view the submissions through your My Kids profile on our web app or mobile app. We strive to update as many submissions as possible, but our priority is to handle jobs and casting calls first in the office.

Children will always be put forward for any work they are suitable for. This could be photographic, TV, film, fashion shows, voiceovers, events or theatre.

We strive to get all our children work but unfortunately, we cannot guarantee this. Ultimately the clients will always choose who they would like to see for a casting or book for a shoot. We just make sure the children are always being represented to them in the best possible way and for everything they are suitable for.

No, your child does not need professional pictures. Children's features change rapidly, especially with babies, so it's not crucial to have professional images. However, the images on their profile should be strong, clear, and taken within the last two weeks. It's up to you if you want to have professional pictures taken for their profile.

We accept images taken by anyone, as long as you have permission to use them and there are no watermarks.

PLEASE FOLLOW OUR DO’S AND DON’TS IF GETTING PROFESSIONAL IMAGES TAKEN. WE ONLY NEED HEADSHOT STYLE IMAGES AND A COUPLE OF FULL LENGTH IMAGES. WE CAN’T USE ANY IMAGES WITH WATERMARKS ON THEM.

YOU HAVE TO HAVE THE PHOTOGRAPHER'S FULL PERMISSION FOR THEM TO BE USED AS PORTFOLIO SHOTS.

Yes you will have to travel and at short notice quite often. Most shoot's and casting's will take place in and around London OR in and around Manchester. We always recommend using public transport if in London as parking and traffic can always be a challenge. Travel is never paid if in London (within M25) for shoots and travel for castings. If required to attend a shoot on location we will discuss travel with you beforehand. Travel will either be arranged by the client or they will reimburse your travel. You can also be required to travel abroad if needed for a shoot, this will also all be discussed on booking.

Some castings are paid and some are not this is all dependent on the agency and client agreement. The Agency will always look at protecting the interest of the child and therefore will always try to get the casting fee paid. At the same time we are fully supportive of new upcoming brands and companies, so it's not always feasible for them to be able to cover a casting fee. Most castings will be in and around Central London OR Manchester and normally at short notice. As soon as your child is invited in for a casting we would call you straight away to give you as much notice as possible but this could be as little as the evening before the casting date. Castings can take anything from 5 minutes to half an hour all depending on what the casting director is asking the child to do. You might have to wait a little while to be seen if they have asked to see quite a few children but we always recommend arriving at least 10 minutes before your time. We will let you know if the child needs to wear or bring along something specific.

It is extremely important to keep your child’s profile up to date with measurements, images and putting any dates they are not able to do assignments for. Many clients will send in briefs based on height alone or one specific requirement so if your child’s profile is not correct then ultimately, they could be missing out or be invited to a casting or shoot that they no longer actually fit the requirements for. You never want to turn up to a casting or job and your child no longer matches their profile this can be highly embarrassing for us and yourself plus would be a waste of time for all parties involved and could result in non-payment if applicable. It’s also crucial to not make any drastic changes to your child’s appearance without consulting with us first i.e. hair style and nails. So, on that note please make sure you’re always updating their profiles to give them the best chance at securing jobs and castings.

If you move house or change your contact details it is crucial you tell us immediately so we can always get hold of you. You just need to email us and we will get that changed over asap.
